I’m using PHP link directory, and it’s a great script. I did have trouble uploading 1 file, so I ended up paying them to install it, but that saved me a bit of time anyway. You can actually list your new directory in their forum if you are keeping the link to their site (Powered by…) in the footer. As this is a forum with good PR and well spidered, it’s a great link, and using the software, even if it wasn’t so damn good anyway, is worth that. Your site will get spidered (and listed in G) extremely quickly, and you’ll get a lot of traffic from it (though so far it’s been traffic that mostly just looks, but hey :-))

You can use this for a regular directory (on its own), or as a reciprocal link directory for your sites. The admin is fantastic, and they have payment options integrated. I really love it and highly recommend it.
